$85,000 – $105,000 per year + Bonus Plan (compensation grows with promotion to Plant Manager)
Picture your morning : it’s 7 : 00 a.m. in Walkerton and the floor is coming alive. You lead a quick Gemba walk, align the team on safety and quality metrics, confirm capacity against the day’s schedule, and remove roadblocks before the first shift hits full stride. As the Plant Manager’s right hand, you’re steering production toward higher throughput and better on-time delivery while building the skills to take the top seat.
What your day may look like
- Direct daily production to hit quality, cost, and delivery targets—no surprises, no excuses.
- Run continuous improvement rhythms using Lean, Kaizen, and RCCA to eliminate waste and defects.
- Create and execute future-state value stream maps that reshape how work flows through the plant.
- Coach and mentor supervisors and operators—set goals, measure progress, celebrate wins.
- Partner with Engineering, Sales, Supply Chain, and other teams to solve problems end-to-end.
- Absorb the full spectrum of plant operations to prepare for a seamless step into Plant Manager.

3+ years in manufacturing leadership (production, planning, quality, or similar).Proven ability to lead people—coaching, performance management, and team development.Hands-on Lean manufacturing expertise and a record of delivering measurable gains.Comfort guiding teams through change and operational transitions.Industry exposure to urethane, rubber, and / or steel is a plus.Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.About American Roller
