About The Position

Must-Have :

• General Emergency Department experience
• Epic charting system experience

Description :

Minimum experience of 2 years is required.

First-time travelers are not accepted.

Patient population includes adolescents to geriatrics.

The department is busy, with high acuity levels.

It is Stroke and STEMI Certified.

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 4.

The emergency department has 59 beds, averaging 165-175 patients per day.

General skills include assisting with abdominal pain, acute psychosis, asthma, burns, and chest tube management.

Skills in IV management, drug overdose, trauma care, and emergency medications are essential.

Nursing responsibilities include triage and managing patients with respiratory infections, seizures, and skin disorders.

Working weekends occurs every other weekend.

Holiday work is expected during major holidays.

Clinical screening will determine fit for the position.
