Our client, a well-established civil & structural engineering firm, is seeking a PE-licensed Senior Engineer / Project Manager to join their Water Resources Engineering team in Austin. This high-impact role offers the opportunity to lead H&H projects, develop flood warning / forecasting systems, and grow a national water resources practice.

Responsibilities :

  • Utilize technical expertise in water resources engineering, including hydrology, hydraulics, and flood mitigation projects
  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians on H&H projects
  • Develop flood warning and flood forecasting systems as a target area of expertise
  • Identify and pursue water resources opportunities and grow client networks
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables
  • Support business development through proposals, client relationships, and industry engagement

Qualifications :

  • B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering (emphasis in hydrology / hydraulics, water resources, or related field)
  • PE license in Texas (or ability to obtain); candidates with PE in KS, OK, or MO also considered
  • 8+ years of relevant national water resources project experience
  • Proficiency in HEC programs, XP-SWMM, EPA SWMM, and other water resources software
  • Experience in flood damage reduction, mitigation, and flood warning / forecasting systems
  • Strong communication, technical writing, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of construction document preparation, plans, specifications, GIS, and local design codes
  • Demonstrated success in growing a water resources practice; existing client network a plus
