Areas of Responsibility
Food Production : ensure menu items are correctly made to recipe and presented attractively; knowledge of forecasting food production and implementing the Food Production system; knowledge of recipes, production procedures, and timing; follow opening / closing procedures; receive and store products to ensure quality and freshness.Guest Satisfaction : assist in ensuring guests' satisfaction to increase guest count and sales; capable of running a shift in the absence of GM, AGM, or Kitchen Manager; create a hassle-free environment for dine-in or carry-out; ensure catering and take-out guidelines are followed; lead by example with a warm, genuine greeting; staff acknowledge guests on entry and exit; handle complaints to satisfy guests; management is visible during all meal periods.Sanitation And Safety : maintain Health Department and company sanitation policies; ServSafe certification; keep environments clean; maintain equipment; follow safety programs and OSHA standards; respond calmly in emergencies.Administration : complete daily shift paperwork; follow cash control guidelines; improve operations against standards; participate in accurate inventory; comply with reporting procedures; forecast sales and communicate to stakeholders; monitor food, labor, and operating expenses guidelines.Human Resources : assist in recruiting; comply with laws and company regulations; maintain personnel records; monitor days off for hourly employees; foster a caring work environment and maintain morale.Training : participate in a 4-week program in St. Louis; learn skills for success, understand performance evaluation, and know how to develop within the organization; train catering staff and new hires; participate in weekly management meetings; provide feedback on performance reviews; ensure disciplinary procedures are followed; complete termination reports and understand exit interviews.Personal Development : uphold high ethics and promote Bandana's Bar-B-Q; actions should focus on guest impact and acknowledge employee contributions; management should act in the best interest of the Company and comply with applicable laws.Qualifications
Prior experience : Two years of experience as a Restaurant Manager with experience in all areas of restaurant operations, management, and administration.Necessary minimum knowledge : Knowledge of guest service, food handling and sanitation, and the restaurant industry in general.Necessary minimum certifications or licenses : ServSafe certification and a valid driver's license.Necessary minimum skills : Basic computer skills, motivational skills, listening skills, effective coaching, leadership, and communication. Results orientation and financial understanding of restaurant operations are essential.Necessary minimum education or specialized training : Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations typically obtained through high school.Headings
