Family Practice - Without OB Physician

Family Medicine / Hospitalist (Split Position) opening in Minnesota Located in Brainerd, MN - 120m from Minneapolis Full time, permanent Employed Seeking a BC / BE Family Medicine, Internal Medicine physician, or Hospitalist to work a split, inpatient / outpatient position Our ideal candidate would be a flexible team player, looking to maintain a mix of both outpatient and inpatient medicine. On the Outpatient side : Roughly 8 days of clinic, spread over 3 weeks Broad Primary Care Practice Multispecialty Clinic with support from specialists and ancillary services The clinic site has 5 Family Physicians No OB, but prenatal care is an option Telephone call 1 : -22 patients per day This position is to prepare for anticipated retirements On the Inpatient side : Half-time Hospitalists work 1, 7-on shift, per month. Partner with existing Hospitalist Program of both full and half-time providers. Schedule 12 hours shifts with 2-3 weeks of nights; the rest of the shifts are days. Hospitalists will cover ICU, with consultative intensivist support. Total number of physicians in specialty currently in the department at practice site : 7. The practice is fully staffed with 8-9 hospitalists. Average inpatient practice volume per day : Med Surg-71 / ICU-10; divided between 3-4 rounding hospitalists, who also share admissions. Average daily census on unit : 50-60 LOCATION -Brainerd, MN located at the center of Minnesota-125 miles north of Minneapolis / St. Paul-Brainerd Lakes Area population : 65,000; Regional service area : 115,000
