Excellent mechanical skills, ability to follow instructions and properly use power and hand tools. Ability to read service manuals and schematics and analyze and problem solve. Competence to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner Acceptable Motor Vehicle status, with current driver’s license, and ability to operate motor vehicle Satisfactory results of a pre-employment drug screening Providing safety-sensitive functions including but not limited to, the operation of motor vehicles, other vehicles, equipment, machinery and power tools. Learning and developing practical skills, participating in classes and workshops, observing and learning with a goal of becoming a skilled Service Technician. Completing maintenance and repairs on customer equipment, which may include heavy equipment, tractor / trailers, and other motor vehicles. Testing specific parts and systems to ensure proper function. Identify mechanical problems either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment. Examine critical parts and systems, and replace malfunctioning parts and systems, may include welding. Maintain a clean and safe working environment Acquires and / or maintains a proper stock of equipment, tools, and materials needed to perform work. Plans and establishes timetable to complete repairs and maintenance and prepares quotes for customers. Assess machines and equipment to confirm safe and proper operation.
