The Neurology Physician provides evaluation services on a PRN basis, primarily involving interview-based examinations and some physical assessments for conditions like traumatic brain injury. The role requires board certification in Neurology, Neurosurgery, or PM&R, along with proficiency in various diagnostic tests and knowledge of medical conditions such as musculoskeletal, diabetes, and cardiovascular issues. Training and certification are provided for reporting and disability benefits questionnaires to ensure accurate evaluations are completed within specified time frames.

Details :

• Need is on a PRN basis, ongoing
• Must be Board Certified in any of the following specialties : Neurology, Neurosurgery, PM&R
• Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment : range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, evaluating traumatic brain injury. Exams will be a mix of General Medicine and Traumatic Brain Injury.
• No prescribing, no treatment
• DMA certification available (can get CME credits) - will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
• Use of Goniometer required
• Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio required
• Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions.
• Must own personal laptop (NO Apple Laptops / MACs)
• Training shall be provided for all Reporting / Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
• Reporting / DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion - no narrative report. End product is completion of standardized form(s).
• Evaluations to be completed in VES's provider portal and records are reviewed.
• Provider needed - more than 5

One-time bonus of $650 for completing all required training and working first shift / exam.
