Certified Medical Assistant (MA)
Location : Destin, FL

Essential Healthcare Solutions is seeking qualified Certified Medical Assistants to join our growing team. We are looking for healthcare professionals who perform both administrative and clinical tasks in a medical setting, such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and scheduling appointments.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides medical services at the scope and level of a Certified Medical Assistant to preservethe health of employees and client personnel.
- Systematically assesses the urgent or emergent health needs of patients, analyzes data, and formulates a plan of care, with other members of the medical team, which is realistic in relation to the employee's capabilities and job requirements.
- Recognizes and treats illnesses and injuries according to established operating instructions within the scope of licensing and regulations of state employment or practice.
- Records and maintains patient information in accordance with standard protocols and the Privacy Act.
- Identifies and records the signs and symptoms of physical and mental conditions.
- Thoroughly exercise skill in initiative, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making daily.
- Make independent judgments and prioritize workload.
- Pursues professional development activities and continuing education to ensure currency with present practices and trends in healthcare, and specifically in the practice of emergency medical treatment.
- Protects patients' privacy through confidentiality, infection control procedures, assuring consistent medication administration, and assuring proper storage and maintenance procedures for all equipment and supplies.

Qualifications
Graduated from an accredited CMA program.Must be a US citizen or permanent resident and have resided in the US for 3 years in the past 5 years.Must be at least 21 years of age.High School Diploma.Active and unrestricted Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification and the ability to be favorably credentialed.2 years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant.CPR or BLS certification.Must be able to multitask, be detail-oriented, be organized, and have excellent verbal and communication skills.Proficiency with computers and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products required.Must be able to perform duties in a stressful and high-paced environment without physical limitations.Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements to include potential shift changes based on operational needs and / or command priorities.Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual (English / Spanish or other relevant languages) preferredHas undergone a federal investigation at the level of Tier 2 or higher; has been grantedfavorable suitability / eligibility and has not had a break in service for more than 24 months.
DHS or ICE detention center experiencePhysical Requirements and Work Conditions
Work is normally performed in a typical interior / office work environment.Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.Ability to ascend / descend stairsVisual acuity required to complete paperwork and computer work.Work is performed in a secure detention facility.May require evening, weekend, or on-call hours.Exposure to emotionally challenging situations.Work Hours - Available Shifts (7am – 4pm; 4pm – 12am; 12am – 7am)
Salary $17 / hr.
