Position Title : Mortgage Collection Representative 1

Business Unit : Mortgage Administration

Reports To : Supervisor of Default Servicing

Position Overview : This position is primarily responsible for remediation of delinquent bank owned, Government Sponsored Enterprise (GSE) and Private Investor real estate secured accounts ensuring timely contact with borrowers, proper system notations of all attempts and borrower conversations.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Attempts to contact borrowers utilizing effective human relation skills, to collect on delinquent mortgage loans, researches loan origination documentation and electronic file to determine other means of reaching the borrower and initiates skip-tracing efforts if warranted.
• Achieves productivity goals as set by management. Calls / Contact / Promises along with response time to all inbound calls - achieving time to answer goals as set by management.
• Ensures complete and concise notation on banks system of all attempts, conversations, promise to pay arrangements, alternate financial arrangements, letters mailed, payments received, maintenance requests, etc. and sets an appropriate follow-up date to ensure promise kept.
• Ensures proper account maintenance is completed to comply with the FCRA, CFPB, SCRA, etc. Complies with all GSE standards to attempt contact every 5-7 days until right party contact (RPC) is achieved.
• Reviews records and transactions, resolves misapplied payments, researches transactions, organizes and summarizes information and data accurately and timely for all portfolios.
• Ensures proper loan maintenance to accurately flag loans such as foreclosure or bankruptcy, non-post, restricted, etc. Maintains proper ledger of all foreclosure related expenses and credits to ensure proper collection.
• Complies with all policies, procedures and regulations.
• Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
