Job Description\n

American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a night shift Emergency Department position requiring a current CA RN license and weekend availability.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in an Emergency Department within a hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule (1900-0730) with requirement to work some weekends on a 4,3,4,3 block schedule
  • Cross-training in other nursing departments may be required
  • Patient caseload reflective of a typical ER environment
  • Responsible for triage and providing comprehensive care in an emergency setting
  • Communicates patient status with physicians and relevant staff
  • Must demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and the ability to work independently
  • No COVID-19 vaccine requirement specified
  • Open to local candidates as there is no stated radius rule

  • Active California RN license required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Current ACLS and PALS certifications required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire
  • Minimum 2 years recent Emergency Room RN experience preferred
  • Must pass nursing medication test
  • Basic computer skills and electronic medical records knowledge preferred
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal and professional skills required
