Job Description

Position : LPN or RN – Residential Health Services (Part-time)

RN Shifts Available

  • Part-time : 4 : 00pm - 8 : 00pm (Every Monday and Thursday evening)

Pay : RN $35 - $45 / hour based on years of experience

LPN $28-$38 / hour based on years of experience

($2,500 sign-on bonus paid in installments)

  • Blakehurst is seeking LPN or RN to join our team! You will work alongside fellow caregivers to provide high-quality patient care. The LPN or RN is responsible for the overall nursing care / service on his / her shift, including the accurate and timely education of medication and medical documentation, assistance with treatments, and initiate emergency calls as needed. Responsible for the assessment and assistance to Independent Living residents.

    Primary Responsibilities

  • Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his / her shift.
  • Administers direct care as necessary.
  • Gives and receives shift reports.
  • Rounds as needed per shift to ensure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
  • Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in residents' condition.
  • Assists with established resident treatment plans.
  • Other Duties

  • Maintains self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of all care rendered.
  • Responds to resident emergency call system.
  • Interfaces with other disciplines to assure continuity of care and services.
  • Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
  • Assures proper functioning of equipment and adequate supplies.
  • Administers first aid / emergency care to employees when necessary and assesses whether to send the employee off-site or by 911 for additional care.
  • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
  • Qualifications

  • RN or LPN must be currently licensed in the State. Must have current CPR certification.
  • Ability to build rapport with patients.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • At least 1 year nursing experience in long term care setting preferred.
  • All new hires must be able to pass our preemployment screening process, which includes a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility. Some of the roles in our community also require that we ask about your vaccination status.
