Position Summary :
- The Medical-Surgical RN at the facility provides specialty professional nursing care for a variety of medical and surgical patients.
- Care is delivered using the nursing process assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—according to professional standards, state regulations, and the health center mission.
- The Med-Surg RN will work in one of the following departments : 3SE, 4Med, or 5Surg, with a maximum 6 : 1 patient-to-nurse ratio. This role offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients while working in a fun, engaging, and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide direct patient care using the nursing process to ensure safe, effective, and individualized care.Collaborate with physicians, fellow nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, interventions, and progress.Administer medications and treatments according to hospital policies and professional standards.Educate patients and families on disease management, treatments, and preventive measures.Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Participate in professional development, training, and hospital initiatives to enhance patient care and team performance.Requirements :
Valid RN License in the applicable state.Strong knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles, procedures, and standards.Experience providing care in a medical-surgical setting preferred.Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills.Benefits :
