The Hired Guns are seeking a Vice President, Advertising for a top progressive digital strategy, data, and communications agency with offices in Washington, DC and NYC. This firm is a leader in building and leading impactful work that reaches and connects with more Americans than ever before.

The Organization

The principals at this agency have run some of the most successful progressive campaigns globally. Their clients include political candidates, advocacy groups, non-profits, govtech initiatives, and brands seeking grassroots impact. You will be working with industry leaders committed to maintaining their momentum.

Your Role

As Vice President, you will be the in-house advocate for large-scale media campaigns. Your goal is to expand existing accounts and develop new ones. You will present bold media strategies to clients, develop targeting approaches, define impact metrics, and oversee your team’s execution. You will be actively involved in client meetings, pitch presentations, proposal approvals, and results reporting.

Success in Your First Year

Develop and mentor a sharp paid media team, sharing your expertise in digital advertising, earned and owned media, and integrated campaigns. Scale operations by implementing your strategic vision to create an efficient, high-performing team.

Ideal Candidate

You possess extensive experience in digital advertising, stay current with industry trends, and are highly creative. Your data-driven campaign management sets you apart. You have a strong digital pedigree, strategic mindset, team-building skills, and success in client-facing roles. Experience pitching and securing approval from senior executives, including Fortune 500 companies, is essential.

Location

This role can be based in NYC or DC, with a slight preference for DC. Candidates should be willing to travel between cities as needed. Experience in political campaigns or advocacy work is highly desirable.
