The salary range for this position is Assistant Professor $403,786-640,231, Associate Professor $430,057-$818,752, and Full Professor $ 523,004-$873,505.

This position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan . Salary and level of appointment will be based on experience and qualifications.

Position description

The Department of Surgery at the University of California, Davis, Health located in Sacramento, California, seeks to hire a full time Plastic Surgeon at the Assistant, Associate, of Full Professor level in the Health Science Clinical, Clinical X, or In-Residence series. UC Davis is a large volume Level I Trauma Hospital with an NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center and a Level I Children's Surgical Center.

The candidate selected will be responsible for teaching and practicing plastic and reconstructive surgery, focusing on patients with facial wounds, congenital deformities, and breast reconstruction needs. Their duties will include providing both inpatient and outpatient clinical care, performing microsurgery, and conducting basic science and translational research related to reconstructive surgery. The research will involve clinical outcomes, with a particular emphasis on adult patients, though experience with pediatric patients will be considered a preferred qualification.

The selected candidate will be appointed at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in the Clinical X, In-Residence or HSCP series depending on experience and qualifications. Expectations of a Clinical X series are to engage in teaching, research, service and clinical work, appointees in the In-Residence series are required to participate in teaching, research, University / public service, and patient care and appointees of the HSCP series are to engage in clinical work, teaching and to support departments research mission.

All candidates must have the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment and must acquire a California Medical License before the start date.
