About The Opportunity

Our team is seeking a BC / BE interventional cardiologist with experience in cardiac catheterization procedures. This opportunity is primarily an outpatient practice with inpatient consults and diagnostic / therapeutic procedures. Work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 am ' 5 pm. Call schedule is 1 : 3. Physician will work primarily in Altoona. Competitive compensation and benefits package includes base salary plus productivity bonus, sign-on bonus, relocation, annual CME days and allowance, PTO, health / dental / vision / life and disability insurance, employer-funded retirement plan, and occurrence-based malpractice insurance.

About The Practice

ARHS Blair Medical Associates Cardiology practice includes one interventional cardiologist, one non-invasive cardiologist, two electrophysiologists, one heart failure specialist, one vascular surgeon, four PAs and two CRNPs. We have offices in four locations. UPMC's Heart & Vascular Institute provides additional vascular, cardiac and thoracic surgeons. The hospital has two EP / cath labs which support Watchman and TAVR procedures. The primary outpatient clinic is in a medical mall, 1-1 / 2 miles from the hospital, and houses two medical labs, imaging, cardio-pulmonary rehab, PT / OT, sleep lab, walk-in clinic, and a number of primary and specialty physician office.

The hospital hosts a level II trauma center, regional oncology center, and a Joint Commission certified primary stroke center. Signature services include comprehensive cardiology and cardiovascular surgery, bariatric and robotic surgery, behavioral health, maternity and wound care. The medical staff is composed of approximately 400 primary care physicians and specialists.
