Menu Planning and Preparation :
- Implementing pre-planned menus.
- Preparing breakfast, lunch, and snacks for children.
- Adjusting meals for children with allergies or specific dietary restrictions.
- Ordering and purchasing food and supplies, often within a set budget.
Kitchen Management :
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.Following food safety regulations and best practices.Managing inventory of kitchen equipment and supplies.Conducting regular cleaning and sanitation tasks.Possibly assisting with laundry and cleaning common areas.Potentially supervising kitchen assistants.Collaboration and Communication :
Working with childcare staff to ensure meals are served at appropriate times.Communicating with staff about any issues or deviations from the menu.Building positive relationships with staff and potentially with parents.Additional Responsibilities :
Be in ratio greeting and caring for children in the morning at drop off and give teachers lunch breaks in the classrooms.Will be responsible for completing paperwork related to meals and supplies.Will need to be aware of and follow child safeguarding policies.Will be required to participate in staff training and meetings.
