In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be :
- Act as the subject matter expert for industrial networking and communications technologies (Ethernet / IP, Modbus, PROFINET, OPC UA, etc.).
- Represent Emerson on Standards committees.
- Provide consulting and solution design for customers and sales teams implementing industrial communication systems.
- Conduct training sessions, workshops, and demos to educate internal teams.
- Consult with development teams to align communication solutions with product capabilities and roadmaps.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, and service teams to ensure successful deployment of communication solutions.
- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to inform strategy and product positioning.
- Collaborate across the business to help develop a long-term technology vision (3–5 year horizons).
- Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the organization.
- Contribute to the development of technical specifications and protocols.
- Establish strategic technology partnerships with key industry players.
- Drive the certification of the product (DeltaV) to appropriate standards (PROFINET etc.)
- Participate in the definition of technical vision, strategy, and road mapping

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Automation, Computer Science, or STEM related field)10+ years of experience with Industrial protocols, their implementation and usage in the fieldDeep understanding of industrial protocols and communication architecturesA background in technologies, tools, and processes in development, testing and maintenance of software systemsDemonstrated abilities in leading and driving performanceExcellent leadership, communication and partner management skillsExperience in protocol development, application engineering, or solution consulting.Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.Willingness to travel to customer sites and industry events as needed.Willingness and ability to work flexible hours to collaborate with both local and remote sitesLegally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the futurePreferred Qualifications That Set You Apart :
