We are seeking a Lead Automation & AI Engineer to build scalable enterprise solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, design copilots with Copilot Studio, and integrate with Azure AI Services to enhance business outcomes.

General Summary

The Lead Automation & AI Engineer will collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to translate requirements into working solutions while applying modern engineering practices. The role will also involve shaping AI governance practices, ensuring responsible and secure deployment of AI-powered copilots within the enterprise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Establish operational plans for the Automation Engineering team
Develop and implement new products, processes, standards, and / or operational plans
Provide support to cross-functional teams with a high attention to detail
Build enterprise-grade workflows using Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataverse
Design and deploy copilots using Copilot Studio, grounded in enterprise data
Integrate Azure AI Services like Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Search to extend copilot capabilities
Apply prompt engineering techniques, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
Collaborate in defining and operationalizing AI governance frameworks
Guide and coach other developers on design patterns, modularity, reusability, platform usage, and automation best practices

Knowledge, Skills, and / or Abilities Required

Ability to manage large projects and processes independently with limited supervision

Recognized expert in applicable work area

Proficiency in Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, AI Builder)

Implementation experience with ALM, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Power Platform Admin Center, and Power Platform Governance

Practical experience with Copilot Studio

Familiarity with Azure AI Services, including Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Search

Educational / Vocational / Previous Experience Recommendations

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent business experience

8+ years of relevant experience
