• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Experience with chemotherapy administration and management
• Ability to recognize and communicate abnormal lab values
• Experience accessing ports and starting IVs
• Administration of chemotherapy and blood products

Description :

Position for an Oncology Nurse specializing in the administration of chemotherapy.

The average daily census is 24 patients.

Work requires shifts of either 3x12 or 4x12 hours.

Daily shifts are during night hours.

Float staff may be required as needed based on facility needs.

Must be willing to work every other weekend.

Chemotherapy skills are required, including administration and monitoring.

IV therapy and infusion skills are also required.

Nurses will provide support and education to patients and families.

Candidates must be able to manage side effects associated with oncology treatments.

Will care for adults and geriatric patient populations.

The facility is a Magnet designated acute care hospital.

Interdisciplinary support includes various healthcare professionals like physical therapy and social services.
