Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This position offers an opportunity to provide dedicated 1 : 1 support within an elementary school setting, focusing on special education. The role is based in Waltham, MA, and is structured as a contract assignment for the duration of the school year.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver personalized 1 : 1 assistance to students with special needs, ensuring their academic and social development.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) effectively.
  • Monitor student progress and adapt strategies to support learning goals.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages student engagement and independence.
  • Maintain clear munication with parents and educational team members regarding student progress and needs.

Qualifications and Desired Experience :

  • Experience working 1 : 1 with students in a special education setting.
  • Knowledge of elementary education curriculum and special education protocols.
  • Strong munication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and students.
  • Patience and adaptability to meet diverse student needs.
  • Relevant certification or training in special education is preferred.
