We are a small, well established consulting civil engineering firm located in Chico, California that provides a broad range of civil engineering and land surveying services to both public and private clients.
- Job Description
Associate Civil Engineers are involved with planning, designing and managing infrastructure projects, preparation of studies and construction cost estimates. Work could include office and field duties. Associate Civil Engineers will coordinate with Drafters, Surveyors, clients, other consultants and contractors. This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects and good organizational skills.
- Typical Duties and Skills
The following duties are representative of what is typically required of Associate Civil Engineers, although competency in additional duties beyond the scope of this list are a valued contribution to both individual professional growth as well as the overall success of the project team.
- Design and preparation of plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports for various infrastructure projects such as residential subdivisions, commercial developments, streets, storm drainage systems, sanitary sewer systems, water systems, pumping stations, and onsite wastewater disposal systems.
- Managing projects, distributing project tasks to other team members, providing peer reviews of work product.
- Possession of strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- Participating in client correspondence and development.
- Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 10 or more years of experience performing responsible professional level engineering and administrative work in connection with a wide variety of engineering projects.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer in the state of California.
- Experience with Autodesk Civil 3d, MS Word and MS Excel software.
- Experience with residential, commercial, municipal and school projects is desirable.
- Experience in public works contract administration and construction inspection is desirable.
- Have an interest and commitment to learning, professional development and undertaking of increased responsibilities.
Job Type : Full-time
Pay : $77,000.00 - $104,000.00 per year
