Duke University Health System seeks to hire an Experienced RN for the Pediatric ED Extension area (5100) who will embrace our mission of Transforming Lives Transforming Care.
Department Profile :
5100 is an extension (physically separate) area of the Pediatric ED, dedicated to caring for pediatric patients awaiting care placement. Current capacity of 8 beds. Patients will have minimal to no medical needs, but many may have behavioral health needs. Prior pediatric or psych / BH experience is highly desired. Area designed to facilitate group interaction between patients. Area is staffed with 2 RN's per shift and Behavioral Techs 1 : 1 with each patient.
Work Schedule :
Full Time (.9 fte). Straight Night Shift. Three twelve-hour shifts per week, 7p-7 : 30a.
What you will do :
As a Clinical Nurse II in Duke University Health System, you will plan and provide professional nursing care for patients in accordance with the medical and nursing plans of care and established policies and procedures. Provide nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
