Job Description

Job Title : Inpatient Physical Therapist

Job Specialty : Inpatient Physical Therapist

Job Duration : 26 weeks

Shift : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM

Guaranteed Hours : 40 per week

Experience : Required experience includes 1+ years in physical therapy within an acute care setting, with a preferred overall experience of more than 2 years.

License : Massachusetts Physical Therapy licensure

Certifications : CPR certification (AHA BLS healthcare provider)

Must-Have :

  • Familiarity with the acute care hospital setting
  • Excellent patient handling skills and transfer techniques
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with other healthcare team members (e.g., nursing staff, medical doctors, case management)
  • Team player attitude
  • Strong time management skills
  • Self-directed, flexible, and multitasking capabilities
  • Dark gray scrubs for the uniform

Job Description :

  • Work in the Inpatient Rehab department, comprised of physical therapists and occupational therapists
  • Provide coverage throughout the inpatient floors of the hospital
  • Engage with patients of all ages, from birth to elderly, with a variety of impairments related to musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post-surgical diagnoses
  • Aim for a productivity goal of 6 hours within an 8-hour day
  • Manage a patient list of 8-15 patients, with the ability to see between 7-9 patients per day
