What you'll be doing in this role...
Cleaning, disinfecting, and resetting guest bedroom, kitchenette, and bathroom areasChanging linens, making beds, organizing collateral on tables, straightening furniture, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping of rooms, emptying trashCleaning and maintaining common areas, lobby, restrooms, and officesWashing, drying, folding, and ironing linens and towelsCompleting assigned tasks in a timely manner as outlined by Housekeeping leadership teamPromoting a positive image of the property by displaying a pleasant and upbeat personality during each guest interaction; being comfortable responding to and carrying out specific guest needs and requestsBeing courteous and helpful to guests, including reporting any guest request or lost / found itemsEnsuring the confidentiality and security of all guest roomsPerforming additional duties as assigned by the Housekeeping leadership team that may or may not be inclusive of the normal scope of duties, and based upon business needsIn an ideal world, you have :
One (1) year prior experience in an equivalent cleaning positionHigh school diploma or equivalent vocational trainingMust be able to speak, read, write, and understand English at a basic levelHighly responsible & reliableAbility to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervisionAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesEnvironmental And / Or Physical Requirements
Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely and successfully with federal, state, and local standardsMust be able to lift and carry up to 40 poundsAbility to stand and / or sit for prolonged periods of timeAbility to physically maneuver through work areas; bend, lift, carry, reach / extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, climb stairs and steps, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environmentTYPICAL HOURS
8 : 00 a.m. - 4 : 00 p.m.; weekends requiredAble to work a varying schedule to include holidays and extended hours as neededKEY COMPETENCIES
