job_description.job_card.job_descriptionCleaning, disinfecting, and resetting guest bedroom, kitchenette, and bathroom areas Changing linens, making beds, organizing collateral on tables, straightening furniture, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping of rooms, emptying trash Cleaning and maintaining common areas, lobby, restrooms, and offices Washing, drying, folding, and ironing linens and towels Completing assigned tasks in a timely manner as outlined by Housekeeping leadership team Promoting a positive image of the property by displaying a pleasant and upbeat personality during each guest interaction; being comfortable responding to and carrying out specific guest needs and requests Being courteous and helpful to guests, including reporting any guest request or lost / found items Ensuring the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms Performing additional duties as assigned by the Housekeeping leadership team that may or may not be inclusive of the normal scope of duties, and based upon business needs One (1) year prior experience in an equivalent cleaning position High school diploma or equivalent vocational training Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English at a basic level Highly responsible & reliable Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team with minimum supervision Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely and successfully with federal, state, and local standards Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds Ability to stand and / or sit for prolonged periods of time Ability to physically maneuver through work areas; bend, lift, carry, reach / extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, climb stairs and steps, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment 8 : 00 a.m. - 4 : 00 p.m.; weekends required Able to work a varying schedule to include holidays and extended hours as needed To have a positive impact, taking responsibility and initiative to resolve issues, always clearly communicating with leadership team and team members To be decisive, accepting responsibility for making things happen, thinking ahead, and developing contingency plans To be an active listener, remaining present and open, providing verbal, non-verbal, and supportive feedback, and showing our respect and empathy with one another.
