Temporary Legislative Session Position
To prepare for the upcoming regular Legislative Session, the Senate is creating a talent pool of interested job seekers to serve in temporary, time-limited positions. Multiple OPS employees will be hired to support various committees and offices. The hours per week will vary depending on the committee / office assignment.
Your application will be included in the Senate Talent Pool for consideration of temporary employment. Job seekers are welcome to apply to other specific job announcements. Individuals may anticipate employment between October 2025 March 2026.
Duties may include performing general clerical office duties, such as copying, filing, answering phones, and processing outgoing mail, to handling more complex work such as drafting and editing amendments and bills. Individuals may be assigned to perform their tasks under the direction of a supervisor or work independently researching, coordinating and assisting others in the preparation of Session. May perform other related duties as required.
Knowledge of basic arithmetic. Ability to sort data alphabetically, numerically, and categorically. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Ability to utilize a computer. Ability to organize files, records, and / or other materials. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
A high school diploma or its equivalent, or an equivalent combination of relevant training and work experience.
Hourly rate of pay is $15.00. Open until filled.
