City of Plano is hiring : Assistant Audio Visual Technician in Plano

Overview

Join the City of Plano as an Assistant Audio Visual Technician and be part of a dynamic team bringing events at the Plano Event Center to life. In this role, you will set up, connect, and operate a wide range of audio and visual equipment including microphones, screens, sound systems, and lighting while guiding customers on proper use. You will troubleshoot and respond to customer needs during events, ensure all equipment is working flawlessly, perform routine maintenance, and assist with technical production. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable experience, operate soundboards and lighting systems, and grow your skills in a fast paced, customer focused environment. Dependability, enthusiasm, and consistent attendance are key to making every event a success.

This position requires flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends. It is common for shifts to exceed eight hours, with frequent onsite support needed during nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot issues and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly.
• Perform routine maintenance and assist with technical production.

• Maintain dependability, enthusiasm, and consistent attendance to contribute to successful events.
