Facility Setting : Emergency Room (24 beds, RN : PT ratio 1 : 5)

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Contract

Start Date : December 6, 2025

End Date : February 28, 2026

Contract Length : 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Shift : 12-Hour Nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM)

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1990 - $2130

Charting System : Paragon EMR

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active New York State RN license required

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience

Pediatric nursing experience required

Current BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

6 CEUs in stroke-related topics prior to start

Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred

Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Proctored EKG exam required on Day 1

COVID-19 vaccine not required (proof or declination accepted)

Flu vaccine or declination required (mask required if declining)

ER RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced emergency room environment

Assess, triage, and manage patients with acute and emergent medical conditions

Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes

Accurately document patient care using the Paragon electronic medical record system

Ensure compliance with hospital policies and New York State nursing regulations

Participate in ongoing education and training, including stroke care and EKG proficiency
