ABOUT THE POSITION

JOB SUMMARY :

The Clark County Water Reclamation District is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Business Systems Analyst I / II (Plant Operations) position. This position will be primarily responsible for :

• Extracting data from, and uploading data into, various databases used by the operators of the District's wastewater treatment plants.
• Analyzing data and performing research to improve plant operations and solve problems.
• Maintaining and improving technology systems used by plant operations to transfer and store data, including supporting and training users of these systems.
• Producing dashboards, graphs, presentations, and reports to study trends, deliver data, describe analyses, and display key performance indicators.
• Collaborating with personnel working in plant operations, control systems, the laboratory, compliance, and information / operational technology to complete projects and advance initiatives.
• Learning and using emerging tools to analyze and model data.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

Business Systems Analyst I - Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Some business systems analysis experience is desirable. Directly related experience in a field related to the work may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two (2) years.

Business Systems Analyst II - In addition to the above : Two (2) years of professional level experience in business systems analysis in a large multi-processing environment.

LICENSING AND CERTIFICATION : Specified positions may require possession of a valid Nevada Class C driver's license.

WORKING CONDITIONS : Work extended shifts or be called back in emergency situations.

Background Investigation : Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Periodically after employment background investigations may be conducted.

Pre-Employment Drug Testing : Employment is contingent upon the results of a pre-employment drug examination.
