Safety, Health & Environmental Technician
Pay Range : $65,000 – $70,000 annually
Schedule : Night shift with flexibility required
Openings : 3 positions
Position Overview
We are seeking motivated Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Technicians to support operations at NASA Johnson Space Center, Ellington Field, and SCTF. This role ensures a safe workplace by conducting field inspections, monitoring compliance, and supporting safety initiatives.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working nights with schedule flexibility to meet project needs.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct workplace inspections and evaluate environments, equipment, and practices for compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
Implement and review processes to protect workers from hazardous conditions.
Deliver clear daily reporting of safety inspections.
Provide immediate reporting of injuries or serious safety issues.
Lead and document daily safety meetings.
Support safety oversight for special projects as required.
Assist in updating safety, health, and environmental metrics monthly.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Health, or related field preferred.
Experience in construction projects and performing field safety inspections.
Must be a U.S. Citizen (required to obtain NASA badge).
Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbal and written.
Valid Texas Driver’s License.
Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
