About The Position

Wellhart is seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician for a locum tenens position at multiple urgent care facilities in Texas. This 120-day assignment begins on 09 / 01 / 2025, with potential for extension. The ideal candidate will work varying shifts Monday through Sunday, covering hours from 8 AM to 8 PM depending on the location. The physician should be comfortable floating between nearby clinics in the Austin market. Key responsibilities include providing urgent care services, performing minor procedures, interpreting X-rays and EKGs, and managing workers' compensation cases. The successful candidate must have significant workers' compensation experience in the Austin market and be DOT certified. This role requires a versatile physician capable of handling a wide range of urgent care needs and adapting to different clinic environments.

Job Responsibilities and Duties :

• Provide comprehensive urgent care services at multiple locations in the Austin area
• Perform minor procedures including laceration repair and incision and drainage
• Interpret X-rays and EKGs
• Manage workers' compensation cases with extensive experience required
• Conduct DOT examinations
• Float between nearby clinics as needed
• Utilize Practice Velocity electronic health record system
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
• Adapt quickly to different clinic protocols and procedures
• Ensure patient safety and high-quality care at all times
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
