PURPOSE
The Project Start Up and Commissioning Technician will ensure quality start up and commissioning of new mechanical equipment on projects including, but not limited to pumps, air handlers, boilers, chillers, split systems and refrigerant systems. Responsible for installing and maintaining piping, welding, soldering, refrigeration equipment, boilers, pumps, and brazing. Maintain and grow the “Customer for Life” concept for existing and new customers. Performs related work as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Read and understand electrical wiring diagrams
- Complete paperwork as needed
- Work with refrigerant, electricity, chemicals, natural gas
- Run required equipment to perform work or task, including climbing ladders and stairs
- Create and maintain documentation
- Accurate daily time and equipment reporting
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
High school diploma / GED5 year Local 33 Apprenticeship Program or Vocational SchoolingAbility to read and understand electrical wiring diagramsGood electrical troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitudeKnowledge of all types of mechanical systems and pipingBasic computer skillsCERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver licenseAcceptable driving recordUniversal refrigerant licenseState licenses : HVAC, refrigeration, hydronic, plumbing, universal CFC license, 30-hour OSHA, 10-hour OSHA, safety trainingMENTAL AND PHYSICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
