About The Position

Position Type :  Locum Tenens, 24-hour On-Call Pediatric Hospitalist

Specialty :  Pediatrics / Neonatology

📅  Open Coverage Dates (24-hour call) :

July 3 – 8

July 15 – 20

• Ongoing need

Emergency Temporary Privileges possible for providers with a clean background, active OH license & DEA.

🏥  Caseload & Patient Mix :

90% Newborns

5% Pediatric

5% Adolescents

Avg Daily Census : 3-4 newborns, 0-1 pediatric patient every 2 months

Medical students may observe rounds with newborn patients

📍  Location Requirement :

Provider  must live or be able to stay within 30 minutes of the hospital  for rapid response.

🛠️  Required Skills & Experience :

Newborn care experience –  Required

X-ray interpretation –  Required

Circumcision –  Required

Umbilical venous / arterial catheter (UVC / UAC) –  Highly preferred

✅  Submission & Credentialing Requirements :

Board Certified  preferred, but  Board Eligible within 5 years of residency  considered

Active  Ohio State Medical License  or  IMLC  with LOQ at submission

Active  Ohio DEA registration

BLS, NRP  certification –  Required

Must be available for all listed July open dates
