Sample Coordination Specialist

The position involves supporting sample coordination efforts as the company transitions from a long-time material to a new material. This role requires coordinating with both internal and external teams to manage the packing and shipping of new samples for customer approvals, as well as receiving samples from suppliers. The candidate will utilize SAP, internal MRP systems, and Microsoft Excel for data entry and coordination tasks.

Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate with internal and external groups to manage sample packing and shipping for customer approvals.
  • Receive samples from suppliers and ensure correct delivery to plant contacts.
  • Utilize MRP systems to order internal materials, packaging, and other necessary items.
  • Organize and oversee the setup of production lines for sample parts.
  • Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining process cards for manufacturing operations.
  • Maintain packaging labeling software and equipment to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
  • Interpret customer drawings, bills of material, and other documentation for new products, packaging, and engineering changes.
  • Collaborate daily with shop personnel to implement process and method improvements.
  • Develop reports and programs to support engineering and shop floor activities.
  • Conduct Run-at-Rate studies for internal cost and capacity verifications to meet customer requirements.
  • Lead team feasibility studies for new parts in collaboration with engineering.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance and updates of the MRP system.

Essential Skills :

  • 1+ year experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with MRP systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications :

  • Experience in the automotive industry (Ford, GM)
  • Stamping experience
  • Work Environment :

    The company operates in the stamping and gaskets sector. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, sleeves, and safety glasses are required on the manufacturing floor. The position is a contract role approved through March 2026, with potential for a full-time position. This opportunity allows for gaining valuable experience in the automotive and heavy industrial industry.

    Job Type & Location :

    This is a Contract position based out of Danville, Kentucky.

    Pay and Benefits :

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
