Position Overview
Woolpert is hiring a Project Engineer / Task Leader to join our dynamic Water Team at our Columbia, South Carolina office. This position is primarily responsible for assisting with technical delivery on projects as well as budgeting, planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting for specific project phase(s) and / or task(s). The role is key in establishing and improving levels of team technical competence, quality and efficiency.
We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must already possess work authorization in the country the job is located.
What You Will Do
- Support various phases of water, wastewater, stormwater management projects from client communication to deliverable generation.
- Perform technical aspects of specified deliverables and lead technical staff in creating deliverables consistent with scope, schedule and budget.
- Manage project phases, ensuring completion of work that meets quality assurance requirements.
- Perform field work as needed.
- Analyze and interpret information, including field and water quality data, to present to clients in a meaningful format.
- Meet internal and / or external project deadlines.
- Comply with and implement clearly defined QA / QC measures.
- Communicate issues affecting phase / task or project schedule, budget or quality and escalates unresolved issues to project manager, team leader, and discipline leader.
What You Will Bring
Bachelor degree in Civil, Biosystems, or related engineering program.Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.Willing to perform technical tasks as assigned and ensure the completion of additional tasks by other team members.Strong communication skills, both written and oral.Strong organizational skills to successfully manage multiple, competing priorities.Effective interface with clients, team members, and other firm resources.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Sound decisions / recommendations based on evaluation and synthesis of project information and data.Physically and mentally capable of performing all essential duties required of the position.Task and personnel management experience is preferred.Benefits You Will Love

Pay Range
$72,080 - $108,120 USD
