Position Overview
The Pizza Chef at Casanova is responsible for preparing, crafting, and maintaining the highest standards of quality for all pizza offerings. This role requires expertise in dough preparation, ingredient management, oven operation, and maintaining consistency in flavor and presentation. The ideal candidate is passionate about Italian cuisine, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, proof, and portion pizza dough according to restaurant standards and recipes.
Cook pizzas in a wood-fired oven, ensuring proper temperature and timing.
Maintain a clean and organized pizza station, including prep areas, oven, and tools.
Ensure quality control and consistency for all pizzas served.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef and culinary team to create seasonal or specialty pizzas.
Properly store, rotate, and label all ingredients to maintain freshness and food safety.
Assist with ordering and inventory for pizza-related ingredients and supplies.
Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
Work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
