We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in New York, New York. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to manage and enhance financial operations while ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate will excel in financial reporting, analysis, and maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, schedules, and ledgers.
• Generate and analyze financial statements, including monthly and annual accounts, to provide accurate reporting.
• Maintain compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures, implementing and monitoring control measures.
• Support the development of internal controls and lead process improvement initiatives to streamline operations.
• Ensure adherence to financial reporting deadlines and manage month-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support strategic planning.
• Coordinate with external auditors and group audit teams to facilitate the financial statement audit process.
• Manage taxation requirements, including income tax and transfer price calculations, while ensuring compliance with legal standards.
• Analyze financial data to deliver actionable insights and recommendations to management.
• Review employee expense reports weekly, ensuring alignment with company policies and guidelines.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a multinational organization.
• Strong understanding of local statutory requirements and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in analyzing financial data and identifying discrepancies.
• Demonstrated experience in process improvement and simplification.
• Advanced proficiency in Office applications and financial tools.
• Fluency in English, with excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with Dynamics or Vena financial tools is a plus.
