Overview
Location : 1100 Wilson Blvd Arlington, VA 22209 USA. Position Role Type : Hybrid.
Security Clearance : DoD Clearance – Secret. U.S. citizenship or eligibility for a U.S. government security clearance is required.
Note : This role is a U.S.-based position. Some domestic and international travel (10-20%) may be required. Relocation assistance is not available.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with functional and business leaders to understand their needs and goals and provide the necessary legal support to enable successful execution of those goals.
- Provide direct legal support to Raytheon's functional organizations including Quality and Mission Assurance, Product Safety, Operations, Environmental Health & Safety, Security, Digital Technology, Facilities, Security Real Estate, Communications, and other functions and major initiatives.
- Advise on relevant U.S. and foreign laws applicable to each function, including staying up to date on evolving law for growth areas (e.g., artificial intelligence).
- Collaborate with RTX Collins Aerospace and Pratt & Whitney functional leaders to ensure alignment and share best practices.
- Present on legal topics for various audiences, including senior business or Legal team leadership, training business or legal personnel.
- Manage outside counsel and the general counsel budget for matters in your purview.
- Some domestic and international travel (10-20%).
- Possible work locations : MA Andover; VA Arlington; AZ Tucson.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires 12 years of legal experience as a practicing attorney, including 5 years in a matrixed corporate organization in aerospace and defense, manufacturing, telecommunications, energy, or pharmaceuticals.Juris Doctorate from an accredited U.S. law school.Currently admitted and in good standing with at least one U.S. State bar and eligible to represent Raytheon as in-house counsel in the job location.Qualifications We Prefer
Active security clearance or ability to obtain a clearance.Significant experience reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and advising on government or commercial agreements including international transactions.Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; ability to communicate complex matters succinctly; demonstrated leadership, sound judgment, and attention to detail.Well-organized with strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage a high-volume workload; drive issues to timely conclusions.Ability to interact effectively in a team environment with multiple levels of organization and foster positive relationships with peers, internal clients, and external customers.What We Offer

Role Type Definition : Hybrid — Employees work regularly both onsite and offsite. The ratio of time onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
Salary : The salary range for this role is 194,000 USD – 388,000 USD. This range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including role function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education, and key skills.
