About The Position

Job Title : Respiratory Therapist - NICU

Profession : Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

Specialty : RRT-NICU

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience with 1 year in specialty

License : MO or Compact licensure required at the time of submission

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT

Must-Have :

• NRP certification
• Previous Charge Experience preferred
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred
• Previous experience in community hospital and Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) preferred
• Trauma Level I & II experience preferred
• Travel experience required

Description :

The position requires qualifications in NICU, PICU, and Pediatrics.

Responsibilities include providing care to neonates, adolescents, infants, and pediatrics.

Candidates must have experience with adult critical care and an understanding of equipment and therapies used in respiratory care.

Skills required include aerosol setup, BiPAP, CPAP, ECMO, extubation, and weaning from mechanical ventilation.

Candidates should be proficient in interpreting arterial blood gases and performing suctioning techniques.

Experience with high-frequency ventilators, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, and tracheostomy care is essential.

Applicants must be able to assist in high-risk deliveries and demonstrate knowledge in emergency procedures.

Traveling professionals will be expected to float to different areas as necessary.

Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is required.

Travelers will be involved in a variety of patient diagnoses and will support interdisciplinary teams within the healthcare setting.
