The Division of Endocrinology at Albany Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner with strong interest in diabetes care to join our outpatient team. Hours are Monday-Friday from 8am-4 : 30pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include :
- Evaluate and manage patients with endocrine and metabolic disorders, including diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, and adrenal / pituitary conditions
- Order, interpret, and follow up on labs and imaging
- Develop and monitor treatment plans in collaboration with supervising endocrinologists
- Support patients with thyroid disease, osteoporosis and other common endocrine conditions
- Provide patient education on disease management, lifestyle, and medication use
- Work closely with our physicians, nurses, and care team to ensure high-quality, coordinated care
Qualifications :
Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner programCurrent certification as a nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).Current NYS licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (or eligibility)Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) certification preferred; candidates must be willing to obtain certification within a specified timeframe if not already certified.Prior experience in endocrinology, primary care or diabetes management preferred; motivated new graduates encouraged to applyStrong communication, organizational, and clinical skillsCommitment to patient-centered, outpatient-focused careWe offer a highly competitive benefits package, including :
