Overview
The opportunity is for a Web Developer to provide continuous development, enhancement, and engineering support to DHS / CBP Air and Marine Operating Surveillance System (AMOSS). The role involves developing and maintaining web interfaces for radar analysis and surveillance, performing system design, testing, installation planning, production support, and documentation in a fast-paced, small, specialized technical team environment.
Responsibilities
- Continued development, enhancement, and maintenance of web interfaces to radar analysis and air surveillance systems
- Interface with systems from other Government agencies for data ingestion
- Provide consultative services to AMOC management staff
- Develop and execute software test plans
- Responsible for software configuration management
- Responsible for maintaining system documentation
- Perform requirements analysis and system design
- Perform system configuration and installation
- Perform required production support
- Develop and write system and user documentation
- Provide regular project status to program managers
- Some travel may be required
Qualifications
Required :
Must be a US CitizenMust possess a DoD or DHS Secret Security clearanceMust be able to successfully pass and maintain a CBP Background InvestigationAt least two years of software engineering and development or related experience with specialization in :Web development using tools such as – but not limited to – JavaScript, PHP, Ruby on Rails, and HTML5Interfacing with Oracle 19 databasesSoftware development experience to include object-oriented design and analysisStrong understanding of user interfaces, cross-browser compatibility, and general web technology and standardsStrong understanding of security principles and how they apply to web-based applicationsStrong problem-solving skillsGood communications skills, both oral and writtenAbility to work alone or as part of a teamB.S. or B.A. degree in an appropriate technical discipline, such as Physics, Math, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with two years of professional development experienceFive years of verifiable experience in the engineering, software development, or other related fields can be substituted for a bachelor’s degreeDesired :

The proposed salary range for this position is $76,000 - 155,700 USD. The salary is influenced by factors including location, experience, skills, education, and certifications. We offer competitive compensation, benefits, and learning opportunities.
