What You've Accomplished
Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related discipline
At least 10 years of directly related experience
Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques, and criteria
Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, management, and customers as required
Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships, work collaboratively within a team environment
Advanced problem identification and resolution skills
Demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates
Advanced level of specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and programming skills

Your Opportunity
This full-time role is about making an impact on people's lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Growth Projects and Development Manager in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Installed Base Business Unit. You will work closely with the department director and technical unit managers. This role will focus on the development and growth of the transverse project engineering and SCAD team, organizational growth and development to enable strategic projects, and providing staff oversight of strategic programs. Your work will include :
Supporting development and execution of business strategy at a unit level for multiple cost centers and work group
Growth and development of project engineering team and first line supervisors
Strategic and tactical direction of Scientific Computing, Automation, and Development team and build effective connections with international R&D peers
Through subordinate staff, ensures effective unit performance of complex engineering assignments
Develops and / or administer organization engineering standards and procedures for the group
Provides goals, objectives, and standards of performance for assigned team members
Develops new adapted products, methods, systems, or models to provide added value solutions to customers
Researches and assesses best practices, proposing methods and improvements
Work with IB-A sales team, internal, and external customers and peers to develop business opportunities, support proposal development, and build strong relationships

Your Total Rewards Package
The range of base salary for the position is between $130,000 - $176,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
