In this position, you will travel 100% of the time to work on multiple high-profile projects such as transportation, commercial buildings, wind farms, and more in many geographical areas. Responsibilities
- General Responsibilities : Manage all aspects of a materials project to ensure that it is safely completed on time and within scope and budget. Monitor progress and performance against the project plan. Troubleshoot and resolve operational problems and minimize delays. May be responsible for resource management, project scheduling, budgets and forecasts, and working with external vendors, subcontractors or contractors. Conduct meetings and prepares reports to communicate the status of the project to the project team and client. Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet project targets and milestones. May have responsibilities to communicate with the client and deliver work products to the satisfaction of the client. Coordinate effort with APR to ensure APR has opportunity to engage throughout the project, particularly at critical junctures. Be involved with approving invoices, preparing change orders, and collections.
- Lead and support project teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant project execution.
- Essential Roles and Responsibilities : Manage all aspects of a small to medium sized project.
- Work with client or NAM to define project scope, schedule and budget.
- Design, communicate, and implement a project plan for completing the project.
- Lead safety efforts including preparation and compliance with the approved safety plan.
- Take action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
- Identify, develop, and gather the resources to complete the project, including calculations, designs, reports and work specifications; develop project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and select materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
- Partner with other departments or offices to secure specialized resources for the project.
- Conduct meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project.
- Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet project targets and milestones.
- Coordinate with APR to ensure appropriate oversight is in place and sufficient time for reviews at critical junctures.
- Coordinate with accounting for financial management of business intelligence, invoicing and collections
- Develop understanding and awareness of project-related risk and be familiar with risk policies.
- Lead safety efforts for the team and promote a safe work environment, including pre-task planning for all projects.
- Ensure continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects and promote quality standards and practices.
- Provide consistent quality standards on project and proposal delivery and engage APRs on projects at their onset.
Qualifications
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science or Geology (or a related technical discipline) with a minimum of 5 years' related experience, or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 9 years' related experience.Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.Ability to travel up to 100% of the timePreferred Certification :
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG) or similar professional registration / certification relevant to the type of services and projects being managed.Other Information
This position has been categorized as a "Remote Only" position. "Remote Only" employees do not have a designated workspace at an office, and typically work from home or another location.
The national standard salary range for this position is $74,900-$116,100. The base range may be adjusted based on the specific location of the applicant. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
