Terrapin Logistics Inc is actively hiring potential Independent Contractors / Deliver Drivers for a summer "Peak Season", stating. The new hire process can take between 4-7 days depending on how quickly documents are approved.

Job Title : Last Mile Package Delivery

Job Summary :

We are seeking reliable and experienced Last Mile Package Delivery Drivers to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering packages to customers in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong work ethic.

Routes will be in various areas of DFW including :

Arlington, Hurst, Euless, Bedford, North Richland Hills, Haltom City, Forth Worth, Frisco, Little Elm, Prosper, Aubrey, Celina, Gunter, and Pilot Point .

Thiese routes can be 100+ stops (factors are vehicle capacity, driver ability, and difficultly of area). The position is 1099. Pay is also direct deposit and paid weekly.

Responsibilities :

  • Deliver packages to customers in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure packages are delivered to the correct address and recipient
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups
  • Follow all safety procedures and traffic laws while driving
  • Report any issues or concerns to management

Requirements :

  • You will need an SUV, Minivan or Cargo-van
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license (at least 5 years old) and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation systems
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in package delivery or related field
  • Familiarity with local roads and neighborhoods
  • Experience using handheld devices for package tracking and delivery confirmation
  • Iphone prefered for the Scanning app used for deliveries

    Delivery Driver Requirements :

  • Current drivers license that is at least 5 years old (if you got a license at age 17 then must be 22 years old)
  • Must submit to a Background Check and MVR
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs+
  • Willing and able to work in all weather conditions
  • Must be willing to use your own vehicle

    • Delivery Driver Responsibilities :

  • Deliver all packages daily within the prescribed time windows.
  • Operate your vehicle in a safe, secure and competent manner.
  • Report to the station prepared to examine and organize daily load before departure.
  • Handle and maneuver packages of varying sizes and weight w / o damage to the package or injury to oneself or others.
