Join Our Esteemed Neonatology Practice in Wichita, KS!

A well-respected and established Neonatology practice in Wichita, Kansas, is seeking a Neonatologist to join their dedicated team. This opportunity offers a chance to become part of an evolving Quality Improvement team-based management approach. Job Responsibilities :

  • Full-time BC / BE Neonatologist position available.
  • Join an 8-physician practice at a leading medical center.
  • Work a combination of 8 and 24-hour shifts on a 7-week rotating schedule, averaging 170 hours of in-house coverage per month.
  • Provide in-house call and backup call from home.
  • Manage a Level-III, 60-bed NICU with approximately 6,000 deliveries each year.
  • Contribute to an intensive and special care unit with around 1,000 admissions annually and an average daily census of 54.
  • All services provided except ECMO and heart surgery.
  • Supported by residents and nurse practitioners.
  • Engage in teaching and research opportunities affiliated with the KU School of Medicine Wichita.
  • Open to new Fellow graduate candidates if already BC in Pediatrics.

Qualifications :

  • Board Certified in Pediatrics - REQUIRED.
  • Truly Board Eligible (within 5 years of fellowship) or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine - REQUIRED.
  • Kansas medical license (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED.
  • Fellowship-trained in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (to be completed prior to start) - REQUIRED.
  • Clean malpractice and license history - HIGHLY PREFERRED.
  • Visa support (J1 or H1B) if required - REQUIRED.
  • DEA (must be obtained prior to start) - REQUIRED.
  • License and Certification Requirements :

  • Board Certified in Pediatrics.
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
  • Kansas medical license (or willingness to obtain).
  • Fellowship training in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
  • DEA required before starting.
