Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring cardiac surgery experience and night shifts in New Jersey.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) of a hospital setting
  • Schedule is 7p - 7a for 12-hour night shifts, three days per week
  • Direct care for post-cardiac surgery and critically ill cardiovascular patients
  • Must float to a nearby sister hospital as needed
  • Uses Epic for charting and EMR documentation
  • Responsible for nursing process functions including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for cardiovascular ICU patients
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team through shared governance to promote evidence-based practice
  • Expected to uphold PRIDE core values : Professionalism, Respect, Involvement, Dignity, and Excellence
  • Travelers may only work up to one calendar year on assignment before a mandatory 30–60 day break
  • Compliance testing and documentation must be completed prior to start, with drug screen and background check results strictly enforced
  • Professional scrubs are required while on duty

  • Active NJ or compact RN license required
  • Minimum of 1 year recent critical care RN experience in a hospital setting
  • Demonstrated experience in cardiac surgery care required
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with ASN or BSN preferred
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • CCRN certification strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and computer skills required
  • No local candidates accepted; must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
