The Global Animal Health Manufacturing (GAHM) IT Leader, is accountable for Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) enablement of Supply Chain and Manufacturing processes within the company's Animal Health business unit which has dedicated manufacturing and supply chain sites. The successful candidate will work in partnership with Global Manufacturing and Supply Chain for human health and support function leaders to align, prioritize, and secure funding for technology enablement initiatives and to ensure technology standardization, adoption, and value pull-through to meet strategic and operational business objectives.

The position has responsibility for the architecture, design, delivery, and support of IT / OT technologies in alignment with ISA-95 standards. Critical areas of accountability include shop floor network and server infrastructure, internetworking, data enablement of Level 2 systems (HMI, SCADA, Batch, PLC and DCS) and configuration and support of Level 3 and 4 systems (MES, LIMS, WMS, CMM, ERP, Planning and Logistics). The successful individual will balance investments in modernization of deployed hardware and software assets over their lifecycle with the delivery of new automation capabilities in a way that maximizes cost of goods improvements.

The successful candidate will have experience supplying technology solutions within large-scale manufacturing operations, in this case, one characterized by dozens of sites operating across 15 countries, producing over 100 billion doses of biological, vaccines, and pharmaceutical products annually with multi-billion dollar capital improvement and expansion programs underway.

The selected candidate will have a bias for action, transparency, and communication ensuring business stakeholders are well-informed of the status, risks, and remediation recommendations associated with IT / OT initiatives, and will create and maintain an accounting of key business success metrics for each initiative as part of cross-functional governance reviews of areas of accountability.

The selected candidate will be a critically important member of the Global Animal Health IT and senior leadership manufacturing teams and will staff, develop, and inspire a large team of senior leaders, employees, and contractors with deep expertise in Manufacturing and Supply Chain technologies, business processes, challenges, and solutions.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Development of a Global Animal Health Manufacturing digital vision and strategy fully aligned and prioritized in collaboration with business partners.
  • Develop tech roadmaps to advance the digital agenda in each of the key sites.
  • Development of compelling business cases facilitating the acquisition of capital and operating funds to support initiative execution.
  • Creation, communication, and execution of capability delivery roadmaps aligned with quantified manufacturing business partner growth, quality, and efficiency objectives.
  • Development, delivery, and support of IT / OT infrastructure and solutions to modernize, automate, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Manufacturing and Supply Chain assets and processes.
  • Collaboration with Global and Divisional IT teams ensuring alignment with IT security and architectural standards and maximizing reuse of approved technology components.
  • Development and delivery of site enablement tools and processes assuring rapid and effective adoption of delivered technologies.
  • Measurement of and co-ownership of business value pull-through for delivered solutions.
  • Design and delivery of post-installation hyper-care services to assure proper sustainment of delivered solutions.
  • Identification, prototyping, and evaluation of new innovations in the Manufacturing and Supply Chain space in conjunction with key business partners.
  • Continuous evaluation of Digital Technology investments and plans versus changing business needs and priorities ensuring ROI maximization.
  • Effective recruitment, development, and inspiration of top talent.

Education :

  • Required : Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology / Science
  • Preferred : MS or MBA Degree
  • Required Experience and Skills :

  • 15 years of IT leadership with at least 5 years of senior leadership experience in a Manufacturing and Supply Chain domain.
  • Track record of successful technology modernization and automation of Manufacturing and Supply Chain sites, systems, and processes.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize global demand for technology solutions.
  • Successful development and presentation of financial business cases for technology programs resulting in funding necessary to assure execution.
  • Experience leading within an Agile Scrum delivery methodology.
  • Successful introduction of new technologies e.g. cloud computing, AI, machine learning.
  • Demonstrable success in driving business adoption of delivered systems. Expertise leading change management / site enablement initiatives.
  • Strong program management skills. Demonstrable ability to develop and execute complex cross-functional programs against aggressive delivery timelines.
  • Proven ability to build highly effective collaborative working relationships with key internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Executive presence. Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with senior executives, gaining support and endorsement of large-scale enterprise-wide IT initiatives.
  • Experience building, motivating, developing, and mentoring highly capable diverse teams.

  • The salary range for this role is $276,600.00 - $435,400.00. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.

    The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
