Technology Lead Data Modeler

Data Modeller – Infosys

Infosys is seeking a Data Modeller with experience in building large data warehouses and data lakes. The position will interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, including requirements elicitation and design. You will play an important role in creating high-level design artifacts and deliver high-quality code deliverables for a module. You will lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications

• Located within commuting distance of Houston, TX or willing to relocate.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Three years of progressive experience in lieu of each year of education is considered.
• Authorized to work for any employer in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship. Infosys is unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this role at this time.
• At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology.
• Proficiency in data modeling using tools such as ERWIN.
• ETL development experience with a strong SQL background; experience with Python / R, Scala, Java, Hive, Spark, Kafka.
• Prefer hands-on experience in Databricks and strong data background with PySpark / Python proficiency, overall experience of 8+ years.
• Create and maintain data models, analyze and design the data models and lead the implementation.
• Deep understanding of the data foundation with logical / physical models and support transformation of business data into usable data models.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts and business users as needed.

The job entails sitting at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
