Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician

OB / GYN Physician Locums Job in California Coverage Dates in October and December Assignment

Coverage Needed : 10 / 20 (8a)-10 / 24 (8a) or 10 / 28(8a)-10 / 31(8a)

Shift Description : 24-hour call, 7am-7am

Requirements :

Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years

Must be licensed in California

DEA certified

Proctoring is required for all appointees having interval or new privileges

Assignment Details :

Average callback hours worked : 4-6 hours

Hospital setting with dedicated Labor & Delivery floor, Family Birthing Center with own OR for C-sections

Deliveries (around 25-40 per month), C-sections, emergency department coverage for OB / GYN-related issues

EMR : Cerner

Support staff : Anesthesiologists (1 on-call after hours and on weekends), general surgeons, 3 local OB / GYNs, 1 Family Medicine OB, Pediatrician on-call, respiratory therapists

Credentialing timeline : minimum 10 days from completed application (Temporary privileges may be available)
