Endocrinology physician employment in Virginia :

Locums Endocrinologist Opening Fredericksburg, Virginia

Start Date : 12 / 1 / 25Duration : 6-Month Contract

Schedule & Coverage :

Full-time : Monday Friday, 8 : 00 AM 4 : 30 PM

First patient scheduled at 8 : 20 AM

Call coverage : Possible every 34 months (details during interview)

Outpatient focus with inpatient consults as needed

Credentialing timeline : ~120 days

Practice Details :

Patient volume : 1820 patients / day

20-minute follow-ups

40-minute new patients

Call coverage : No clinic patients when on call

Responsibilities :

Evaluate and treat endocrine disorders (including Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes, insulin pumps)

Order, interpret, and follow up on labs and imaging

Provide patient education on medications, lifestyle, and preventive care

Manage complex and chronic endocrine conditions

Assist with in-basket monitoring

Position highlights :

Strong diabetes education & nutrition counseling program

Experienced support staff

Shared call with another physician

Requirements : MD or DO Degree

Board Certified / Board Eligible in Endocrinology Required

Active Virginia Medical License Required

AHA Certifications Required

Strong clinical knowledge of endocrine disorders and treatments

Excellent communication and decision-making skills

Computer and EMR proficiency
