American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist with at least 1 year of acute care CT experience and active ARRT and BLS certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Position is in an acute care setting on a dedicated CT unitWork primarily involves CT imaging, including extremities, head, neck, vascular, cardiac, TAVR, and runoffsHeavy ER case volume, with approximately 60% of scans being emergency department studiesProcedures include assisting with fluoro in IR cases, drain placements, liver and lung biopsies, cryoablation, and abscess drainageThe department utilizes two Toshiba / Canon and Phillips scanners at one campus, with a third scanner at anotherAverage workload is around 80 exams per day between two technologistsUses Cerner for charting and Change Healthcare PACS with Terarecon for cardiac studies12-hour shifts, Friday through Sunday, 6 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 PM; block scheduling with potential for variable start times week-to-weekNo requirement to float between campuses or cover other departmentsPrimary responsibilities include performing a wide variety of CT scans and assisting with intravenous therapies and interventional proceduresWill periodically work independently after initial week(s) of orientation with support available as neededOne week of department-specific orientation provided, including paired shifts with a preceptorMust demonstrate flexibility for variable shift start times; block schedule changes between weeks but not within weeksWeekend shifts are required as part of the regular scheduleScrubs of any professional color may be worn; will transition to a specific color code in OctoberRadiation safety badge will be providedHoliday shifts are generally not requiredRadiologists are in-house 7 : 00 AM – 10 : 00 PM with call coverage after hoursCandidates may not have been employed at a CommonSpirit facility within the past yearLocal candidate eligibility and pay rate determined by residence; driver’s license used for address verification\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 1 year recent CT experience in an acute care settingActive ARRT and BLS certifications requiredActive state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable; pending licenses not acceptedExperience with TAVR CT and the ability to start IVs are requiredCoronary CT experience is beneficial but not requiredFamiliarity with Toshiba / Canon and Phillips CT scanners preferredProficiency with Cerner, Change Healthcare PACS, and Terarecon for cardiac imaging is neededMust be able to provide copy of driver’s license for considerationTwo professional references required, including one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years\n Benefits\n
